The Annual Sand Modelling Competition held on New Years Eve was a huge success, despite the howling wind and rough surf! We had over 50 entries and raised over $1000 which will be donated to LITTLE WINGS, a not for profit charity which provides essential air transport for sick children in regional areas.

It's Back! The traditional New Years Eve Sand Modelling Competition, presented by Broulee Surf School.

On the 31st of December, we invite locals and visitors alike to North Broulee beach to take part in this annual community event. Competition begins at 3pm and concludes 4pm, when the public are more than welcome to browse what should be some clever creations! Registrations begin at 2pm, beside the amenities block.

This year there will be 2 divisions:
Open - all ages - $20 entry per team of 4
Junior - aged under 13 - $10 entry per team of 4
**All proceeds of entry fees will go to charity**

Top 3 teams in each division can share in cash and prizes kindly donated by:

Today was something of a milestone!
Back in the summer of 2000, I was fresh off the pro tour and dabbled in some surfing lessons, with a view to a possible change of career. I had no softboards, no credentials, and pretty much no experience.
The first photo shows me giving tips on a fiberglass shortboard 🫣 to 12 year old Sasha. I didn't even have a wetsuit on as I had no intention of going in the water - just send her out and hope for the best 😆
Fast forward 25 years, and teaching people to surf is my living and passion 🔥 Sasha returned to Broulee Surf School to brush up her skills and had no idea I would be her coach again 😁 we just had to recreate the image 🤙🏼

Our popular SURF SQUAD After School Surfing Program is back for Term 4 🏄🏼‍♀️🏄🤙🏼

Designed for kids aged 6 - 12 years with little or no experience, and held in the safest waves on offer in the Broulee/Tomakin area, between 4pm and 5:30pm on Thursday afternoons.

Cost for the 8 week program is $250. Wetsuits and surfboards are provided. We also accept Active and Creative vouchers!

Let's Go Surfing this school holidays 🌞🏖️🩴🌊 with the famous Broulee Surf School

If you have kids aged 6-12 years who have shown an interest in surfing 🏄 there is no better way to get them in the water than SURF SQUAD 🤙presented by the longest running surf school in the Eurobodalla!

This program runs over 2 or 3 consecutive days, with a 1.5 hour lesson each morning. Our professional coaches are experts at working with children to encourage and build confidence in the safest waves breaking in shallow water at Broulee beach 🌊

All equipment is provided, including soft surfboards and full length wetsuits to keep the kids warm and comfortable!

At the end of the program, each child is presented with a certificate to mark their achievements 👍

Always a pleasure hosting UC Lake Ginninderra College! This prestigious school is famous for producing sporting stars, and we have been honing their surfing skills since the early 2000s... we put this bunch of athletes through their paces today and they all killed it!
