🏁 A Special Weekend for Red Earth Racing 🏁

Team Red Earth Racing had a bit of a nostalgic weekend, with Max Lang Racing stepping in to drive the ex 24 car while our regular driver stepped aside from the seat and took on the role of Max’s crew chief for the weekend.

We knew going into it that with the master’s setup and Max’s driving ability, we had the goods and Max certainly didn’t disappoint.

Having never raced a Modlite before, Max started from the rear in every heat, but right from the get-go he looked completely at home. He worked his way forward throughout the 2 nights, won a heat and picked up enough points to qualify for the feature from an impressive P3!

We’ve been lucky enough to be part of Max’s racing journey since he was just 5 years old, so to stand back and watch what unfolded this weekend was something pretty special. Seeing the driver he has become, jumping into a completely different race car and immediately showing that kind of speed and maturity, was a proud moment.

Max, we couldn’t be prouder of what you accomplished. Thanks for trusting us, giving it everything you had and, most importantly… thanks for giving our car back in one piece! 😂

Something tells us this won’t be the last time we see Max behind the wheel of a Modlite.

Looking forward to seeing what you can do at the next meeting, mate! 🏁💪

OH MY! HALLIDAY MAKES IT 90 FOR DONNY ARCHER

Modlites continue to come in clutch, as we get ready to head to their territory for one of the biggest weeks of Speedway racing to hit the Kimberley.

Thanks to BK Halliday and pushing the Modlite numbers to eight, we have now hit over 90 nominations making their way to Derby Speedway Club for what is now their BIGGEST EVER Speedway event on August 21 and 22.

The best news? It can only keep on growing as we still have 6 days to go until nominations close.
If you want your name in the program, please have them in by Thursday August 13!

Doubling as Westralia Cup IV and round two of the Street Stock Support the North Series, this weekend of racing has become one of the most anticipated weekends of Speedway racing ever held in the Kimberley.

It won’t be all about Street Stocks, as all Speedway Australia Divisions are welcome to attend!
With over $30,000 of prize and tow money up for grabs over the two nights, the time is right to make the trip.

On Thursday August 20, the Derby Speedway Club will also be hosting a welcome function at the Derby Sportsmens Club, with everyone welcome to attend. More information to follow!

What can we say… “Proud” is an understatement. 🫶

This weekend, the man, the myth, the legend… BK Halliday dusted off his race boots and made his long-awaited return to Modlites!

Over the past four years, BK stepped back from his own racing to give Alyssa & I the opportunity to get behind the wheel. And what a journey that turned out to be! 🙂 Now it was his turn to climb back in and for us to be his pit crew & I think we did a great job 😂

After such a long time away from the track, what a night it was!

BK’s Results

🏁 H1: P8 → P2
🏁 H2: P2 → P1
🏁 H3: P2 → P1
🏁 Feature: P1 → DNF

After earning pole position for the feature, BK led the first half of the 20-lap race with Dylan on his heels. Unfortunately, a clutch failure brought an early end to what was shaping up to be an unforgettable night.

Welcome back, BK… you’ve still got it! 👏🏁

We’re incredibly proud of you.

Well done to everyone for a great night of racing, and congratulations to the winners. 🏆

A huge thankyou to all our sponsors

Real talk for the motorsport community.

Rules matter in sport.
Consequences exist for a reason.
Fairness matters.

But sometimes we need to stop and think about who feels the weight of those consequences the most.

Because behind every helmet is still a child.

A child who simply loves racing.
A child who trusts the adults around them.
A child who shows up to do what they love.

Most kids aren’t building engines.
Most families aren’t technical experts.
They trust mechanics, engine builders, and experienced people to make sure everything is right, safe, and to spec.

Because children don’t understand technical rules.

They understand race day.
Friendships.
Community.
The feeling of belonging.

And when rules or consequences fall around situations they never created, never understood, and never knowingly played a part in — the emotional impact can run deeper than people realise.

People see the outcome.

But families see the heartbreak.
The empty weekends.
The loss of confidence.
The child questioning where they fit.

For many kids, motorsport isn’t just a sport.

It’s identity.
Purpose.
Routine.
A place that keeps them grounded.

At Dirt Track Girls, we believe protecting children in motorsport matters just as much as protecting the rules of the sport.

Because accountability matters — but so does understanding who is truly carrying the emotional cost.

This isn’t about removing rules.

It’s about remembering that children should never carry blame for things they never built, never controlled, and never understood.

Because the goal should always be to keep kids chasing their dreams — not losing the place that made them feel most like themselves. 🩷🏁

Five years of junior racing… and what a ride it’s been.

From those early Junior days, every lap has meant something. The growth, the grit, the wins, the setbacks- all of it has built Alyssa’s story & a legacy that we’re incredibly proud of 🫶

Over her journey, Alyssa has become an advocate for women in speedway, inspiring others to follow their dreams- showing that they can be strong, competitive and confident, and carve out their own path on the track.

To everyone who’s supported us over these past 5 years- Thank you 🤩 You’ve been there for every lap & every memory.

Now it’s time to close the Junior chapter. Bittersweet, but exciting all at once

We wish the new owners all the very best as they build their own memories and their own story 🏁

End of an era 😭

Yesterday we painted over our doors and sold Alyssa’s race car… and honestly, it hit harder than we expected. 5 years and so many memories tied up in that one moment.

From the early mornings to the late nights, the wins, the setbacks, the laughter and the tears - it’s been such a big part of our lives, and letting it go feels like closing a book.

A huge thank you to everyone that has played a pivotal part in Alyssa’s racing career

As emotional as it is, we know this is just the beginning of something new.

Here’s to Alyssa’s next chapter of life and everything that lies ahead for her 🫶
