We absolutely love when they get to stay! 🤎

Nacho is a lovely pony who originally came to Brooklyn Park Equine for training before his owner decided to offer him for sale. He was purchased by a wonderful new owner who chose to keep him in training with us—meaning he never had to leave!

He has been progressing beautifully, doing everything asked of him and developing some lovely foundations under saddle. He is picking up his leg yielding and transitions really well, while continuing to improve his contact and frame.

We’re very excited to watch him continue learning and developing with us! 🐴

✨ FOR SALE — SCOUT ✨

Approximately 4-year-old Riding Pony × Quarter Horse × Paint gelding

Scout is a stocky, solid young gelding with unique roan paint colouring. He appears predominantly blue roan, with some strawberry-roan tones throughout his coat.

Scout has been in consistent work for approximately eight weeks and under saddle for around six weeks. He is broken in and has established walk and trot under saddle. His first two rides were completed ba****ck in a halter and lead rope, which he accepted quietly without concern.

We strongly believe that a good ridden horse begins with a solid groundwork foundation, and Scout has received plenty of patient, consistent handling from the ground before progressing under saddle.

Scout has shown himself to be a quiet and willing young horse with no nastiness shown. He can be nervous with new people and relies on trust and a positive relationship with his handler to feel confident. Once that trust is established, he is much more relaxed and willing to engage

However, he is still green broken and requires a confident, capable rider who can continue his education correctly. He is not being advertised as suitable for a beginner and is more of a “project” type of horse.

He thrives on consistency and improves with regular work. With more miles, exposure and time, we believe Scout will develop into a lovely all-round horse. He has a beautiful temperament and genuinely wants to please.

Scout’s current education and handling include:

• Ridden ba****ck
• Established walk and trot under saddle
• Established groundwork foundation
• Can be caught with a bucket of feed
• Easy to float
• Easy to rug
• Good to trim
• Easy to handle and do practically anything with once trust has been established

🌾 Early mornings at Brooklyn Park Equine 🌾

We started our morning bright and early with a hay run to top up our supply, followed by filling the paddocks’ round bales and taking everyone’s rugs off so they could enjoy today’s beautiful sunshine! ☀️🐴

We believe it’s incredibly important for our horses to have constant access to quality hay. Horses are naturally designed to graze throughout the day, so providing plenty of forage supports healthy digestion, helps reduce the risk of ulcers and keeps them happy, settled and occupied.

Princess, our little palomino pony, was especially impressed with this morning’s delivery—as you can probably tell by the hilarious face she was pulling! 🤎

Just another busy and rewarding morning making sure every horse at Brooklyn Park is comfortable, well cared for and content.

Tilly is an exceptionally quiet, kind and uncomplicated mare who is very much more “woah” than “go.” She is a slow, steady and sensible pony who is happiest taking her time and enjoying a peaceful ride.

Tilly has proven herself to be an excellent trail-riding pony. She remains calm and sensible in different environments and is quiet around road traffic, dogs running towards or accompanying her, and other animals encountered along the way.

She is happy to lead or follow within a group, is comfortable with horses riding directly behind her and does not become unsettled by other horses around her. Tilly is brave, reliable and not easily fazed by unfamiliar sights, sounds or situations.

Tilly will trot when asked—eventually! It may take some encouragement, but she will offer a slow trot before politely suggesting that walking was a much better idea. She is certainly never in a rush to get anywhere!

She will trot willingly on the lunge with assistance from a ground handler and will also trot while being led. This makes her a lovely option for a child learning to ride independently, with the support of an adult or instructor.

There may be a canter hidden somewhere in there, but Tilly’s ideal job would involve peacefully plodding along trails, around the farm or enjoying relaxed family rides. If you are looking for the equine equivalent of cruise control—slow, steady and completely uninterested in breaking the speed limit—Tilly could be the pony for you.

Tilly may suit:

• A children’s lead-line pony
• A first off-lead pony for a child learning to steer and ride independently
• A pony for learning to trot on the lunge
• A relaxed trail-riding or farm-riding mount
• A family pony the children can enjoy while Mum can also hop on for a peaceful ride

On the ground, Tilly is:

A lovely, relaxed ride for Tilly this morning 🤎

Tilly worked beautifully long and low, remaining soft, calm and relaxed throughout her ride. At Brooklyn Park Equine, we love encouraging our horses to stay soft and responsive without feeling rushed or tense.

Long reining plays an important role in our training, helping horses understand softness, balance and responsiveness before carrying those foundations into their ridden work.

Tilly has the loveliest quiet temperament and is certainly in no hurry—she enjoys taking life in the slow lane! She will be coming up for sale shortly, so keep an eye on our page for further details 🐴🤎

Today was all about bonding and building trust with our sweet Priscilla 🤎

Priscilla is the more nervous of our two new ponies, so we’re taking everything slowly and allowing her to become comfortable with us at her own pace. Today’s session focused on quiet handling, gentle reassurance and simply spending positive, pressure-free time together.

Trust on the ground is incredibly important, especially for a nervous pony. Before asking for anything under saddle, we want Priscilla to feel safe, relaxed and confident with her handler. A strong foundation on the ground helps create clearer communication, mutual respect and a happier, more willing pony.

There’s no need to rush—sometimes the smallest moments of trust are the biggest steps forward. We’re so proud of Priscilla and look forward to watching her confidence continue to grow at Brooklyn Park Equine. 🐴🤎

Brooklyn Park Equine is offering relaxed, hands-on Meet, Groom & Ride sessions for children and families who would love the opportunity to spend time with horses.

We’re very excited to introduce two adorable new faces to Brooklyn Park Equine 🤎🐴

Meet Priscilla in the blue halter and Princess in the purple halter!

These two sweet ponies have recently arrived at Brooklyn Park Equine for some much-deserved TLC, time to settle in and get feeling their best. Once they’re ready, they’ll gradually come back into work with a focus on furthering their education, building confidence and working towards becoming safe, reliable and suitable children’s ponies.

Our goal will be to give both girls the time, consistency and experiences they need before eventually helping them find their perfect forever homes.

So far, both Priscilla and Princess have shown themselves to be incredibly friendly, affectionate and just absolutely adorable. We’re really looking forward to getting to know their personalities and sharing their progress along the way.
