Club Life Member Garry Luscombe's legendary 6am swims have been immortalised in a brick for the new clubhouse breezeway. Now in its 16th year, Garry's 6am swim is an institution — 70 people contributed to share his message on the wall: YOU NEVER REGRET A SWIM.

When the new building opens next year, the breezeway will be the emotional heart of the Club — Nippers and Patrol bricks, memorial bricks for loved ones, lines of poetry, and family names all set into the foundations.

What message do YOU want stamped into our new home? 30 August is your last chance — bricks go off to be fired next month.

Good news for Bronte ocean pool lovers - the pool is still open and will be until at least the end of August. If you’re as lucky as this winter swimmer you might even have the whole place to yourself!

Bronte community - Coogee SLSC in conjunction with Randwick City Council, will host a community swim at Coogee Beach at 9:00am on Sunday 21 June.

We recognise that everyone is processing this traumatic incident in their own way. For those wishing to return to the water, this swim offers a supportive community environment, with safety support provided by a drone, jet skis, inflatable rescue boats and board paddlers.

All members of the community, along with neighbouring surf clubs, are welcome to join. Participants should meet near the Coogee Boatshed on the northern side of the rainbow steps.

Following the swim, Coogee SLSC will host a BBQ on the beach, with all proceeds going towards supporting Leah.

Whoop! Congratulations to our Second Chance Brick Raffle winner, Matt Johnston.

Matt did his Bronze Medallion at Bronte in 2014 and, a decade later, you can almost always find him participating in some sort of water activity. A dedicated member of Patrol 8, and a familiar face at Saturday morning Bronze training, Matt is never far from a board, paddle or ocean swim.

Matt - we're delighted that your name will be permanently etched on the wall of Bronte SLSC. (Seen here, left, with brother-in-law and Bronte member Geoff Golovsky on B2B Water Safety duty.)
