Skinners take on Mt Cootha Sunday!
Local high school teacher Rory Skinner is teaming up with Big Brother Evan to tackle the Tour deBrisbane tomorrow.
The 110km cycling circuit features a solid climb up Brisbane’s highest peak of Mt Cootha that stands 287m above sea level. With over 2,000 riders this will be a great event.
Rory is fresh from last years Great Ocean Easter ride and has been churning out the kilometres through summer in preparation for the 6.30am start time.
That will be a sleep in as the Skinner team were in training this morning at 4.38am!
Cyclists seem to love riding in the dark 😜
Good luck lads, enjoy the bonding session 😉

Local ironman competitor Bella Kolinac was back in the Hill for Easter, but the training never stops with cycling, running &
swimming efforts.
Bella who recently relocated to Adelaide to pursue a nursing career advancement at Ashford Hospital is in full scale training for the 70.3 Triathlon event in Western Sydney in May.
Bella will compete in the 19-24 age category.
The 1.9km swim is followed by a 90km bike leg before a 21.1km run to complete the triathlon.
That all adds up to 113km which when converted back is 70.3 miles!
Bella’s 2026 major aim is to qualify for the 2027 Ironman event in Kona, Hawaii
