Although the fishing was the toughest it has been in many years the company was great, the food was awesome and the laughs were non stop!

A huge thank you to the committee for all their hard work throughout the year and across the weekend and of course to all our amazing sponsors both new and old for their support in raising funds to continue the development of this awesome fishery!

To our competitors, thank you for coming and supporting the event and we can’t wait to see you all back again next year!

Also, we have a competitor that has lost a case full of Makita batteries over the weekend. If anyone has seen or knows the whereabouts of this box please get in contact with us so we can reunite them with their owner!!

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year period, catch heaps, eat and drink lots and see you all in 2026!

This time next week we will be right in the middle of this years monster raffle and someone will be trying their best to keep themselves from being brought undone by the Basstard Cup in the hopes of a solid second day on Sunday and a good shot at claiming this years Champion Team award sponsored by Bermagui Beach Hotel

With one of the best views on the coast, great food and ice cold beer the Bermagui Beach Hotel has been a favourite of locals and visitors alike for years. Next time you’re in town, call in and check it out!!

The crew at Alfresco Coffee Roasters are super passionate about what they do, they source the best beans from all over the world and roast them right here on the coast at Moruya to produce some unreal blends!

Next time you’re in Batemans Bay or Moruya call into Alfresco, get stuck into the best coffee on the South Coast and grab a couple of bags to take home for yourself!!

Brogo Baby!!!!

Confirmation emails have been sent out to all the teams entered for this years 25th Anniversary Brogo Bass Bash with some instructions leading into the event NEXT WEEKEND!!

Just a reminder that the Association AGM will be held at 2pm at comp HQ on Saturday. We are a small committee who work extremely hard for 10 months leading up to the event each year to put on a great comp in order to raise funds to continue stocking Brogo and developing it into the awesome little fishery it has become over the last 25 plus years. If you’d like to be a part of the future of the stocking program and help out, come to the AGM and see how you can get involved.

Also, a reminder that there is to be NO camping on the Thursday night by order of State Water. This is a condition of our event permit and if you arrive on the Thursday to camp you WILL BE TURNED AWAY.

We can’t wait to see you all at Brogo next Friday night for a few beers and a heap of laughs ready for another awesome edition of the Brogo Bass Bash.

If the trees around the house need a tidy up and you want to get them down with safety and precision give Shane Best tree services and arborist a call.

Besty has jumped onboard as a sponsor of the comp this year for the first time and he and his crew are some of the best in the business.

When it comes to sorting out trees wether it’s a tidy up or complete removal, confined space felling or piece by piece removal with climbing and rope techniques these boys can do the lot, including clean up with their chipper and stump grinder.

Besty and his young bloke Ryder are fishing the comp this year alongside John from Fraser Marine and could be a bit of a dark horse on debut. The boys are very handy fishos in the salt, having taken out a win at the Reel it in Flathead challenge at Lake Tyers in 2024 and the Dash for Cash at Mallacoota a few weeks ago so watch out, if they can transfer their form over to the fresh water at Brogo they could be in with a shot!!

Keitech - Australia are back in board again this year and have sent some very cool goodies down for our Saturday night raffles.

If you haven’t tried them before the Keitech range are absolute dynamite on the Bass, wether fished in a jighead or as a trailer on a spinnerbait, chatterbait or skirted jig there is something about them that our mighty Aussie Bass just can’t resist!!

Our Saturday night raffles are always a highlight of the weekend and this year our friends Bermagui Country Club have donated 2 Golf vouchers for a lucky winner and 3 friends to play 18 holes, including cart hire, on Bermagui’s 18 hole championship course.

After your game you and your friends can compare rounds and dispute scores with a cold beer and a top notch meal at the Terrace Restaurant.

Thanks to the Bermagui Country Club for their continued support, next time you’re in town, drop in for a round, a cold beer and a meal! It’s one of the best little clubs in the coast!
