🏆 GRAND FINAL DAY. THREE TEAMS. ONE LAST PUSH. 🏆

After a massive season, three Wests teams are heading into the Big Dance this Saturday ❤️💚

Our 5th Grade Women kick us off at 9:00am, taking on Colts after an incredible run to their first ever Grand Final appearance. A huge moment for this group and a chance to make a little bit of club history.

At 10:30am, our 5ths Red take on the Tigers. After finishing Minor Premiers with 13 wins from 16, they punched their ticket to the Grand Final with a 3–0 win over Maitland last weekend. One more job to finish.

Then at 1:30pm, our 4ths Red face Norths on West Field. After finishing third on the ladder, the boys have fought their way through September and booked their spot with a huge 4–1 Preliminary Final win over Colts. Now it all comes down to this.

Three teams. Three Grand Finals. All at the one place.

We want to see as much RED & GREEN around the grounds as possible. Get down early, get loud and stay around to back every Wests team from the first whistle to the last. The players have done the work to get here — now it’s our turn to get behind them.

ONE CLUB. THREE GRAND FINALS. LET’S BRING THEM HOME. ❤️💚🏆

WEEK 2 of the semi finals , and what a week it was for Wests, with three of the four teams progressing through to the Grand final ❤️💚 Huge congratulations to our HCPHL side who sadly went down 2-0 to Gosford, in what was a hard fought battle for both sides ❤️💚🦜

Prelim Sunday saw three of our men’s teams battling for the right to play alongside our 5th grade women on Grand Final Day.

5th grade red had stumbled in their semi-final but recovered to come out firing in the first half against Maitland. 3-0 up at halftime, with Cuz on fire in attack, the team was well marshalled from the back and through the midfield by legends of the club. The guys will be keen to take on a strong Tigers side in the final and add yet another premiership to the already impressive tally.

4th grade red is a blend of youth & experience and they took on early season pacesetters Colts. The boys came flying out of the blocks with a short corner for Lachy, whilst Pecka turned back the clock with a vintage performance. Captain Markwell will lead the boys into the GF against minor premiers Norths, making his first grand final appearance since he was 12yo.

PHL travelled down to Gosford, with support crew in tow, hoping to take break Gosford’s decade long streak of Grand Final appearances. The team fought hard and ran themselves into the ground in a tight contest. A short corner strike late in the first half saw Gosford take the lead, one they held onto in a game of few chances. The final score of 2-0 sees Gosford take on Norths in the GF but our guys can hold their heads high as they continue to progress and do the club proud.

Grand Final day this Saturday is going to be huge, with three games for our club, all of whom need your support! Let’s go Rosellas!

Our amazing 5th grade womens team are off to the Grand final, after a win against Central this afternoon!

Playing in their alternate strip the team were trailing 0-1 at halftime but came out firing in the 2nd half.

Hannah deflected in a short corner strike from Rosie to equalise in the 3rd quarter, before Isobel scored with just a couple of minutes left in the final quarter to win the game.

Huge congratulations to the ladies and we can’t wait to get out and support you on Grand Final day!

WEEK 2 OF FINALS 💚❤️

We’re down to four Wests teams who have progressed through to the Preliminary Finals!

Kicking off the weekend, our Fifth Grade Women take on Central in their FIRST EVER Preliminary Final appearance! ❤️💚 We’d love to see plenty of support down there as they fight for a spot in the Grand Final!

First up on Sunday, Minor Premiers Wests Fifth Grade take on Maitland in an early clash.

Following them is Fourth Grade, fresh off a blockbuster overtime win last weekend. This is a side that should not be overlooked as they look to keep their finals run alive.

And to finish off the weekend, our Wests First Grade take on second-placed Gosford Magpies on their home turf at Wyong. After going down to Gosford in last year’s Preliminary Final, the boys are hungry to get one back and book their place in the big dance against Norths. 💚❤️🦜

As the regular seasons games to a close last weekend, the positions were set in stone, and what a beautiful stone it was. With FIVE of the SIX mens grades having wests teams In the top 4, it’s set to be a cracker weekend for all playing, watching and supporting 💚❤️🙌🏼 Not to also mention our 5ths West womans making their back to back back finals appearances , after ONLY having our womans teams injected just LAST YEAR. It’s looking to be a good week of hockey 💚❤️🦜
