Motorcycling Victoria is looking for members who are eager to be more involved in the sport and have a say in the future of their discipline/s. We’re inviting Expressions of Interest from anyone interested in joining one of MV’s discipline management committees - whether you’ve been around for years, have fresh ideas, or simply want to give something back to the sport. Our committees play an important role in helping shape the sport, from participation and development initiatives through to events, competition and supporting clubs.

We’re particularly keen to hear from people involved in Motocross, with several key committee roles set to become vacant at the conclusion of the current season. It’s a great opportunity for new people to step up, bring some fresh energy and work alongside MV and the broader MX community. If you’re interested in getting involved with MVMX or any of MV’s other discipline committees, we’d love to hear from you via Discipline Committee - Expression of Interest (EOI) – Fill in form.

Hartwell MCC Steps Up to Support VRRC Round 3

Motorcycling Victoria (MV) and the MV Road Race Committee (MVRRC) are pleased to confirm that Hartwell Motorcycle Club (Hartwell MCC) will assist with the delivery of Round 3 of the 2026 Victorian Road Racing Championship (VRRC) at Broadford on 10–11 October 2026.

Hartwell MCC has stepped forward to support the VRRC and the Victorian road racing community, working collaboratively with MV and the MVRRC to ensure the 2026 championship can proceed through to its conclusion.

Hartwell’s involvement is specifically to support the delivery of Round 3 and does not represent a takeover of the VRRC series or a change to its governance or ongoing structure.

MV General Manager – Operations Shane McCarter said the support of Hartwell MCC was a positive example of clubs working together to support the sport.

“We are very pleased to have Hartwell step up and assist with Round 3 of the VRRC,” McCarter said. “Their involvement is about supporting the championship and, most importantly, ensuring our riders, officials and volunteers can complete the 2026 season. We appreciate the club’s willingness to work collaboratively with MV and the VRRC Committee to deliver the final round at Broadford.”

Hartwell MCC President Martin Peters said the club was pleased to play its part in supporting the championship.

“Hartwell MCC is proud to be able to assist with Round 3 and help ensure the 2026 VRRC can reach its conclusion,” Peters said. “We see this as an opportunity for clubs to work together for the benefit of the sport and the riders, and we look forward to delivering a great weekend of racing at Broadford.”

Planning for Round 3 is now underway, with further event information to be communicated in the lead-up to the October 10–11 weekend.

MV and the MV Road Race Committee thank Hartwell MCC for stepping forward to support the 2026 championship and look forward to working together to deliver a successful final round.

Earlier this week, the Motorcycling Victoria team had the privilege of hosting Charlie Wallis, a man who’s excelled on two very different surfaces — the speedway track and the artistic canvas.

Charlie’s racing career took him from Australia to England and across Europe, competing on iconic machines like the Coventry Eagle 250cc and the Vincent Black Shadow. During his adult working years, a painting class poster set him on a new path. That spark led to Highly Commended awards, recognition in Ringwood’s art community, and an invitation to join the Twenty Melbourne Painters Society.

Today, Charlie generously gifted Motorcycling Victoria one of his artworks. It will proudly hang in our office — a reminder that whether you’re carving lines on a track or on a canvas the skills you build on the track can take you places far beyond it.
