For me, this was our best day on the bikes so far. This was truly a day to remember. I saw a frog, a snake, and a leach (on my arm). There was also something very large moving next to us on the trail, we're saying it was a dear because the alternative is scary! 😂 Over 1400m of elevation. Our climbing legs were tested. We were buggered afterwards but totally content.

Japan photo dump - day 7.

Hakuba Iwatake today. They've been very busy since I was last here. New buildings, gondola, car park & trails. Sadly, many were closed today due to the wet weather. And some are still under construction. There was even a Rover sighting .miller907. Took a video of our final soggy run down the mountain. It was like riding on glass! Will post the video ASAP. Stopped into a bike shop on the edge of town & met a lovely chap named Suzuki who rode XC at the Sydney Olympics for Japan. Capped off the night with the best vegan noodles I've ever had 😋

Japan photo dump - day 5.

Today we rode Nozawa Onsen MTB Park. In short, amazing facilities, stunning scenery, but sadly, the trails are very underwhelming. The loam is gorgeous. They need to bring World Trail in to build some more & better trails. Very sad really 😢

Japan photo dump - day 4.

Left Fuefuki & headed to Fujimi Panorama MTB Park for our first ride in Japan. In short, beautiful countryside, a very big mountain, pouring rain, crashes, mud glorious mud, vibey joint, vegan pizza, joy!

A young Japanese bloke told me my Japanese was good & my pronunciation was very good. Happy 😊

Japan photo dump - day 3.

Final preparations before leaving Tokyo & heading to the mountains. Picked up the van. Stopped at a huge outlet mall. Assembled the bikes. Checked into a beautiful Ryokan. I ate a delicious meal. All-around it was a pretty good day.
