The Mark Kendall Bingham Memorial Tournament, or Bingham Cup is the biennial world championships for the gay and inclusive rugby community. First held in 2002, the tournament was created in memory of 9/11 hero Mark Bingham, who lost his life fighting back against terrorists on board United flight 93, which crashed into the ground near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Nine cities have hosted the tourname

It’s been just over two weeks since the Adelaide University Sharks Rugby Union Football and Tsurumi Brats Rugby Club joined forces to become the Brat Sharks!

Together, they lifted the Challenger Cup at Bingham 2026! 🏆🏆

Congratulations to the Ottawa Wolves, who were crowned Amanda Mark Cup champions for the second time in the history of the tournament two weeks ago, defeating the Emerald Warriors in an incredible final! 🔥

It has been nearly two weeks since the Ottawa Wolves RFC won the Amanda Mark Cup for the second time, defeating the Emerald Warriors in a spectacular final here in Brisbane! 🐺🏉

What a tournament. What a final. What a showcase of everything inclusive rugby stands for.

This victory is a testament to the dedication, skill, and heart of the Ottawa Wolves but this moment belongs to every single club that took the pitch. The Amanda Mark Cup is only possible because of the incredible contribution of all the teams who travelled from across the globe to compete, connect, and celebrate.

This award isn’t about the scoreboard. It’s about who you are when nobody’s watching. It’s about the hand you extend to help an opponent up. The respect you show to every jersey you faced. The inclusivity you live and breathe, on and off the pitch.

What an incredible Bingham Cup!

A huge thank you and congratulations to every single club, player, coach, volunteer, referee, official, supporter and organiser who made Bingham 2026 such an unforgettable celebration of rugby, community, friendship and inclusion.

From the opening whistle to the final celebrations, Brisbane was truly something special. We hope every person who attended left with memories, friendships and stories that will last a lifetime.
