It's been a s**t year but there have been a few shining lights and Xavier Willison is one of them.

His growth under Madge has been a joy to watch. Taking another significant step in his development and showing he is capable of becoming a long-term leader of the pack. He's still young, he's still developing but he's on the right track. Can't wait to see what he does next season when Barnett takes him under his wing.

When you arrived in Brisbane, you weren’t just taking on the No.7 Jersey. You were taking a chance on us and we were placing our future in your hands.

You brought your family, your values and the belief that something special could be built here. Slowly, the standards lifted. The belief returned. A young team learned how to compete, how to respond to heartbreak and, eventually, how to become Premiers.

You gave us the leadership we needed, and so much more. You made the players around you better. You welcomed their families into yours. You led with humour, humility and a genuine care for people that extended far beyond Rugby League.

In 2025, you stood on the Premiership stage and gave this Club a moment it had waited nearly two decades to experience.

Brisbane may not have been where your story began, but it became your home and you became our hero.
