Longhorns Rugby Club Brisbane Longhorns Rugby Club is Brisbane’s premier social rugby club. They currently play in the Normanby Cup on Friday nights.

Established in 1998 by Matthew Baxby, Matthew Vandermeer and John Turley. The Club has won three premierships; 2001, 2002 & 2006. Thry currently play in the Normanby Cup on Friday nights. The Longhorns Rugby Union team was established in 1998 by Matthew Baxby, Matthew Vandermeer and John Turley. Primarily a social first, rugby second, club. Originally playing in the Brisbane Club Rugby Pegg Cup on

a Saturday, in 2003 'The Horns' moved to the Friday night competition. Having won three premiereships, in 2001, 2002 and 2006; the Longhorns have become a prominent power in suburban rugby.
