As one of the organisers for the inaugural Over 40s World Series Cup I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of our participants. The feedback has been very positive and we look forward to announcing a host for the Second Edition for 2027 as soon as possible.
The friendship and brotherhood that’s gets created at these Veterans events is quite extraordinary, a lot of the players and coaches managers and supporters have now had various opportunities to catch up. From an Australian point of view our Team had its first Tour to New Zealand in 2023 and these players from opposing sides can now be classed at mates. This is the same for Canada and the USA after the Global Cup in Karachi and the World Cup in Cape Town. Personally, by the time the Inaugural IMC T20 World Cup roles around in December this year I will have had the opportunity to catch up with multiple “old people” that share a passion for cricket for the 4th time in 2 years.
Cricket is obviously our passion but to share it at this stage of our lives with like minded people is truly extraordinary.
Well Done to Australia on securing the World Series Cup and we look forward to hosting this event for over 40s Veteran cricketers for years to come.
A massive thanks to our Tournament Sponsor Felons Brewing Co, your hospitality has been unbelievable, the venue amazing and we look forward to collaborating on future events with you.
McGrath Real Estate, these guys have seen the growth and potential in Veterans Cricket in Australia and are keen to support our continued growth.
