Boasting 15 Queensland State League Premierships, ACU Brisbane North Cougars is Netball Queensland’s largest and most successful netball region. With the support of five netball Associations, which form the Brisbane North region, Cougars provides extensive opportunities for the development of young players, coaches, umpires and officials. Club to the Queensland Firebirds and Sunshine Coast Lightning teams with a huge talent pool in the Brisbane North Region. The 2022 squad has three training partners in the Firebirds and Lightning with many other alumni players such as Mia Stower, Ruby Bakewell-Doran, Laura Scherian and Tara Hinchliffe. ACU Brisbane North Cougars takes pride in delivering elite coaching, education and development therefore maximising participation and enjoyment in the growing sport of netball. With 10,000 athletes and 2000 officials ranging from five years old to mature adults, the Brisbane North Region is a significant component of the Queensland netball community.

Grand Final preparations are officially underway! 🔴🏆

While the other clubs battle it out for the remaining spots in the Grand Finals, our Sapphire and Ruby teams are already in preparation mode for the big dance next Sunday, 13 September!

Get your netball friends and family together, pull out the red gear and come along to Nissan Arena to get behind the Cougars. ❤️

Tickets are available now via Ticketek — and the Cougars supporter area will be in Sections 3 & 4, so get in quick and let’s fill the stands with red!

Congratulations Charlotte! ❤️

Kedron-Wavell Cougars is extremely proud to congratulate Charlotte Blain on being named a finalist for the 2026 HART Premier Netball League Ruby Series MVP.

An incredible achievement and recognition of Charlotte’s outstanding performances and contribution throughout the 2026 HPNL Ruby Series season.

The winner will be announced at the Netball Queensland Awards Night in early October.

Kedron-Wavell Cougars is extremely proud to congratulate Ellie Brice on being named a finalist for the prestigious Katie Walker Medal at the Netball Queensland Performance Pathways Awards.

A fantastic recognition of Ellie’s performances throughout the 2026 HPNL Sapphire Series and a wonderful achievement in an outstanding season.

The Kedron-Wavell Cougars Ruby team heads into finals after strong performances in their last two games, finishing the season as Minor Premiers on top of the ladder.

Now it’s semi-final time, with the team back in action today and ready to fight for a place in the Grand Final.

A big thank you to everyone who came along to support our teams on Sunday! ❤️🖤

It was wonderful to have so many families, friends and supporters courtside cheering on our Sapphires.

A special shout-out to our Downey Park Netball Assoc ball girls, who were kept busy on the sidelines and did a fantastic job! 👏

Congratulations on an incredible career Mahalia!

Kedron-Wavell Cougars is incredibly proud to have played a small part in Mahalia Cassidy’s netball journey, which began with us at just 15 years of age.

Mahalia became an integral part of our club and our premiership success before taking the next step in her career with the Queensland Firebirds. It’s been wonderful to watch all that she has achieved since.
