Australian Futsal Association (AFA) was formed in 2010, and was born out of futsal organisations that had been operating across Australia since the early 1990s, when it was identified that there was a real need for a standalone national body for futsal. A sporting body that is focused on the development of futsal across Australia, as a sport in its own right, as opposed to a form of training for o
ther sports or a recreational activity. With member clubs, futsal centres and affiliates in every state across Australia, and 60+ full-time staff (including those employed by affiliates), AFA is by far the largest futsal organisation in the country.
โProgrammes range from local club competitions for all ages from Cairns to Hobart and Brisbane to Perth, stretching to just about every corner of Australia.
โAFA provide a complete player pathway, with progression from local competitions to State Titles and Leagues, followed by National Championships and finally the chance to represent Australia at international tours and tournaments.
