🎉 ⚾️ Carina Leagues Redsox Baseball Club is incredibly proud to congratulate two of our own, Lorraine Brockie and Drew Naylor, on their nominations for the Baseball Queensland Hall of Fame.
For more than four decades, Lorraine has been one of Queensland baseball's most dedicated volunteers. A scorer, mentor, educator and advocate, she has contributed countless hours to club, state, schoolboy and professional baseball, including with the Gold Coast Clippers, Daikyo Dolphins, Brisbane Bandits and Queensland representative teams. Her impact extends far beyond the scoresheet, having mentored hundreds of scorers and helped shape the game across generations. For over 20 years she has been the mainstay in the scorers box on a Friday night and Sunday for our A Grade/Senior division 1 teams and will always be like a second mother to many of current and past players.
Drew's baseball journey has taken him from the fields of Carina Redsox to the world stage. Representing Queensland and Australia, pitching professionally in the Philadelphia Phillies organisation, earning 40-man roster status, competing internationally, and later signing with Japan's Chunichi Dragons, Drew has enjoyed a remarkable playing career. Through injuries, international success and representative honours, he has remained a proud Redsox player and ambassador for Queensland baseball. This experience in both on field success and coming back from adversity are vital strengths that we are so lucky to have him impart on our current senior division 1 and 2 squads.
These nominations recognise not only outstanding achievement but also decades of commitment, passion and service to our sport. Lorraine and Drew embody the values of Carina Redsox and have left an enduring mark on baseball in Queensland and beyond.
Congratulations Lorraine and Drew — your Redsox family couldn't be prouder!
