The inaugural Star Liquor Warehouse at Runcorn Tavern barbecue sausage sizzle commences THIS SATURDAY, 5th September!

Souths Sunnybank’s Under 15 boys will be fundraising from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at 124 Gowan Road, Sunnybank Hills. Let’s get behind this team heading into finals.

Star Liquor is supporting the fundraiser by providing every customer who purchases a sausage with a voucher for 10% off their next purchase at Star Liquor Warehouse.

Come along, grab a sausage and cold drink, and support the team. Details below.

🏆 2026 MINI & MOD PLAYERS OF THE YEAR 🏆

The Mini and Mod Player of the Year awards are among the highest individual honours presented within our junior program.

These awards recognise much more than natural ability. They celebrate players who consistently demonstrate outstanding effort, a positive attitude, respect for their teammates and coaches, and a commitment to giving their best every time they take the field.

What a fantastic way to celebrate our Mini and Mod teams! 🖤🤍

A huge thank you to Sam's Gourmet Pizzas for feeding our hungry players and families, and to inflatableworldoz_underwood for providing the perfect venue for our U6–U12 end-of-year presentations and celebration.

Most importantly, thank you to all our players, families, coaches, managers and volunteers for making 2026 such a great season. Your commitment, encouragement and club spirit are what make Souths Sunnybank such a special community.

🏉 SENIOR COACH ANNOUNCEMENT 🏉

Souths Sunnybank Rugby League Club is proud to announce the appointment of Ben Harper as our Senior Coach for the 2027 season.

After serving as Assistant Coach of our Division 1 side in 2026, Ben steps into the role with extensive rugby league knowledge, experience and a strong understanding of our club.

Ben will oversee Souths Sunnybank’s entire senior program as we build towards an exciting and successful 2027 season.

🏉 FINALS FOOTBALL THIS WEEKEND 🏉
As excitement builds, we’re asking every spectator to remember: It’s positive or it’s pointless.

Our players respond best to positive encouragement. When they hear spectators arguing about calls, criticising referees or directing negativity towards players, their focus shifts away from their own game.

Cheer loudly, celebrate effort and support our team, but please show respect to our players, the opposition, referees and everyone around you.
Finals football brings plenty of passion. Let’s make sure ours is positive.

Our players are listening. Our children are watching. Let’s represent our club with pride.
