It's small but fast ... well ... slow, actually, bt will get fast. At least, it will feel fast, but will really be getting slower!

Make sense? It will. Regardless, if you want to rock up to a small, community event without breaking the bank this coming Sunday 18th, this one is for you. All ages and dogs on leads welcome ... that's people of all ages as well as dogs!

Annabel Hepworth well on track at the Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence race in Queens. For the ultra-tragics among us who 'wouldn't get out of bed for less than 100km', take a look see :)

Are you fit to drop? Doesn't matter, you just need to be up for a laugh :)

Whether you want to run the gauntlet or just join in for some fun ... or some HUИNY, this is the place to be on Sunday October 17th!

As for the drop bears ... we'll keep a close eye out :)

For the past few years the running community, or, more specifically the microcosm that is the ultra-running community, has been absorbed to the point of obsessive with the last one standing format. Incredible distances and duration, etc., etc.

Well, right now, and for another 40 days to come, the Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence Race is underway in New York. This is where it's at. Really at.

Just quietly, though very early in the proceedings, Annabel Hepworth is lying third. Even more quietly, our own Ian Javes came second in the event back in 1987 ... though it was a mere 1,300 miles back then. Pfft.

Betty and Susannah went to Pooh Corner today for a bit of a recce - still deciding if we should run it clockwise or anti-clockwise...???

Turns out that the Clint Eastwood 2027 link on the website had rolled back to this year's event. It's been updated and is now working correctly ... thanks to all of you who dropped us a line with the heads-up 🙂

It's easy ... then it's not. How much 'not' depends on you!

Not by a massive amount, but higher numbers across the board at last week's Clint Eastwood than we've ever had.

Regardless of the outcome at the pointy end, the bigger picture is that without the 5 hour, 10 hour, 15 hour participants, the guys that go longest cannot do it without the rest of the field kicking their goals. Even if the goal is to turn up and just be a part of the show.
