Sponsorship opportunity! 🏅

We’re looking for a sponsor for our Tiny Tots shirts this season at CNLA!

Our 3 and 4 year-old athletes wear their shirts every Saturday across the 10-week program (Sept to Dec, plus a mini comp in Jan).

In our 25/26 pilot season, the club provided them complimentary for our youngest athletes as their first taste of athletics. A local sponsorship would help us keep this going for families in our community in the upcoming season.

Entries for the 2026 Coles Winter Carnival close on Monday 15 June!

Open to U7–U17 athletes, the Carnival welcomes both LAQ and non-LAQ participants, making it a great opportunity for athletes to compete, have fun, and experience a major event in Townsville on 27th & 28th June (during the school holidays)

If you've received an email today about automatic registration renewals for the upcoming season from LAQ or Sport80, please feel free to ignore it for now!

It seems the registration system got a little too excited and jumped the gun before the centres were ready to open registrations for the 26-27 season.

We’ll let everyone know through our social channels and by email as soon as registrations are officially open and ready to go.

Until then, sit back, relax, and enjoy the off-season.

Thanks for your understanding - we expect that registrations will open in late July or early August for the upcoming 26-27 season, and we'll be in touch with all the details in the next month.

We’re excited to invite all City North families to our AGM and End of Season Prizegiving for the 2025/26 season!

Join us on Sunday 25 May 25 from 3pm at the Windsor Bowls Club.

This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate an incredible season and recognise the achievements of our athletes. We’ll be awarding:
- Age Group Champions (from Club Champs)
- Most Improved & Most Consistent
- Coach and Centre Manager awards
- Encouragement awards
- Outstanding Centre Records
- Achievement Colour Level Certificates

Athletes are encouraged to wear their City North uniform, and we’d love to see as many of our families there as possible.

Food will be available from the bowls club, with a selection of options including vegetarian and gluten-free.

We’ll be sending out an invitation via Stack Team App to help us confirm numbers for catering - please take a moment to RSVP by Thursday 14 May.

We are also aiming to hold our AGM at the beginning of the event. AGM agenda details will be shared with all families via email in the coming week, along with information on committee roles that will be open for nomination and voting - we encourage anyone interested to consider getting involved.

Congratulations to Ashley Blackman who won Bronze in the U18 high jump and Bronze in the U20 high jump at the Australian Junior Nationals 👏👏👏

Congratulations to Ethan Gration who won silver in the u18 men’s high jump with an equal PB of 2.05m, and then backed it up with 8th in the u20 men’s high jump the following night. 👏👏👏
