I lost 50kg the hard way, years of crash diets, endless cardio, and quitting every few weeks.
If I had to start over tomorrow, I'd skip all of it and run this exact plan:

Eat in a small deficit you barely notice, not a crash
A palm of protein at every meal
Lift 3x a week and slowly add weight
Walk 8–10k steps a day
Sleep 7–9 hours, and judge progress on the weekly average

That's it. No detox, no secret. It's boring on purpose, because boring is the only thing that ever actually worked.

I got to 130kg and hated every photo of myself.

Everyone told me to just eat less and do more cardio. So I did — and I made every mistake in this post on the way down. It took me years to lose 50kg the hard way. You don’t have to.

The 5 that cost me the most:
→ Crash dieting until I binged it all back
→ Living on the treadmill instead of lifting
→ Banning every “bad” food until one birthday undid it

Sushi rolls when I wanted to be “light”.

I was eating between 3,500 and 4,500 calories a day and had no clue.
