It’s easy to forget why you do what you do in and amongst the day to day challenges that come with running a business and just life in general and we know that so many of you can relate to that.

A huge why for us here at Honour Moreton Bay | Your friendly local martial arts gym is and has always been about creating an environment where people can come to better themselves.

Everyone’s journey is different, some may take them over the ropes and into the ring and others it’s just a few hours a week where they are able to focus on themselves, push a little further then they thought they could, or find a community that just feels easy to be apart of.

The ladies classes were always something that was meant to create a community of women inside combat sports that showcases the power of females where the super power and focus isn’t what your body looks like but what it can do and over the last few years that community has continued to grow and remind us over and over that this work is so needed.

People don’t just need fitness, they don’t just need the strength, they need to have places they can go where people believe in them before they believe in themselves and that’s what Honour Moreton Bay | Your friendly local martial arts gym is

Not just for women but for everyone.

We are not just teaching you how to throw some cool moves, we are helping you find your strength, and fire and will to be more than what your current circumstances might be allowing you to see.

You don’t realise you need a girl gang like this until you’re a part of one.

So this is your reminder that life is infinitely better when you surround yourself with people who are headed in the same direction, respect that you’re all different people and are never short on support and questionable dance moves.

The community at honour is more than just about training, it is about creating safety for people to grow and thrive..

For those of you who don’t know our owner and head coach Michael has accepted an invitation to fight in the Kyokoshin World Title Karate Tournament in Japan this year.

A monumental achievement and honour but also a message to every single person out there that you are never too far ahead in the game to learn something new, humble yourself in the name of growth or too old to chase a dream.

We are super proud and lucky to have someone who not just talks the talk but is willing to walk the walk and do the things he asks of his students too.

This journey has taken him to a new level of experience, gaining knowledge and experience from other instructors and showcasing the true spirit of martial arts which isn’t about conflict but respect and honour of one self and people in general.

We truly believe there is always something to learn no matter where we are and hope that this can also inspire you to chase your own goals whatever they may be.

All it takes is the right people in your corner and the willingness to be open to learning and the sense to put aside the fear of looking like a beginner to reap the rewards of the potential you carry.

Whether your journey is to fight, or just learn something new or find a new level within yourself - the choice starts with you!

A big thank you to the martial arts community that has rallied behind him so far - it truly is so inspiring to see everyone working together!
