TUTORIAL TIME 🤠

We learnt 'Shut Up and Dance!!!' in the improver/intermediate class at Northgate on Monday night, but there is no tute video for it on CopperKnob or BootStepper, so here's a quick walkthrough from me (plus a demo at the end).

As for the restarts:
You will start walls 3 & 5 facing 12:00. Both times, restart after 40 counts (after the left half shuffle), you will be facing 6:00 when you restart. First restart is at 1:08 in the song, second one is at 1:49.

The tag/restart: You will start wall 8 facing 6:00. After the first 14 counts, you will be facing 3:00 (stepsheet says 9:00, this is incorrect), do the following 2 counts and restart the dance at 6:00.
15&16 Step L behind R, Turning ¼ R step R forward, Step L forward.
This restart happens at 2:42 in the song.

🤠 September is here!

No night classes on 21/9, 22/9 and 24/9, as Dad and I will be road tripping to Melbourne for AFL grand final week. We don’t have tickets, our team finished 16th on the ladder, but Roadie To The Grandie is always my favourite week of the year. Chances are 4000km of sitting down will be just what I need after a very busy first few weeks of September.

Would you take a look at this beautiful team of dinosaur superstars!

So proud of my dancers who competed in the Ekka Challenge Cup on on Wednesday. You represented our Footloose Fun dance community so well. I've watched our video so many times 😂

How wonderful to have so many line dance groups all in the one place strutting their stuff on Wednesday. Well done to all the groups who competed. Congratulations in particular to the Western Stomp team for winning the comp... this group is filled with so many kind-hearted and fun people, led by the incredible Lyndsay (collab, maybe, soon?).

And to Luke and Matt from Uber Line Dancing - thank you for all your hard work to organise and coordinate the event. You made it all seem effortless... and whenever something looks effortless, it means a lot of effort has gone into it.
