⚽️💜 Female Football Week Spotlight 💜⚽️

This week gives us an opportunity to celebrate those who help grow the women’s game every day.

Our final spotlight is Representative Player Emily Wiebe.

Emily joined our Senior Women's team last year, establishing herself as a tough and reliable fixo throughout our FQFPL and Queensland Futsal Cup campaigns.

In football, Emily is part of the FQ Referee Academy and continues to earn regular appointments to NPL Women's matches, including a recent appearance alongside teammate Erin Apps at NPL Magic Round. The achievements of her refereeing career do not end there, as Emily was appointed to the 2025 and 2026 Emerging Matildas Championships, including as Assistant Referee for the U16 Grand Final this year, and has officiated at four Queensland Representative School Sport State Championships.

We thank Emily for her contributions to both football and futsal and look forward to seeing where her hard work and dedication take her next.

⚽️💜 Female Football Week Spotlight 💜⚽️

This week gives us an opportunity to celebrate those who help grow the women’s game every day.

Today we look back at the Futsal State Titles last year and celebrate our U15 Girls team.

The girls faced a number of challenges leading into the tournament, including injuries and training availability, but were outstanding in their commitment, effort, and attitude throughout, recording wins over Ipswich FC and FS Valkyrie.

Coached by Senior Women's Coach Antonio Scotter, three of the girls from this squad went on to play for our Senior Women's team during the FQFPL season and Queensland Futsal Cup run.

We thank the U15 Girls for their dedication and teamwork throughout State Titles and for proudly representing Arana United on the court.
