The BGA precision putting process works with the Putt Calculation. The new wave Aim Point is a complex version of the original BGA method. We have updated the Putt Calculation with some simple but effective math to help players refine the calculation.
How does it work?
1. Accept that 5 steps from the hole is the base point.
2. Accept that 2.5 steps = half the calculation and 10 steps is double, 15 steps three times etc.
3. Move in an arc away from the ball position to the closest point providing a straight line of putt.( up hill,or down ok but no sideway movement)
4. Count how many steps back to the ball position, this now represents the measure in centimetres of your aim point, based on item 1.
E.g. If you are 5 steps from the hole and the ball is 4 steps LEFT of the identified straight putt then your aim point at regular holing speed would be 4 cm's left of centre. If you were 10 steps away, with the same arc steps to the straight putt, then the aim point would be 8 cm's left.
Better putting to all.
