⭐LAQ Coles Winter Carnival in TOWNSVILLE! ⭐

Any BLAC athletes heading north for the winter school holidays? The Coles Winter Carnival could be the perfect addition to your trip! 🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍➡️

🔸When? June 27th & 28th
🔹Where? Townsville Sport Precinct, Burke St, Townsville
🔸Who? Open to all athletes U7-U17
🔹Cost? $22.50 for club members ($27.50 for general public)

Note: all athletes will compete in their 2026/2027 age groups

🔵 A waiver must be signed before children can jump 📝
🔴 Once signed, your child will receive a wristband and can join in the fun 🤩

As we approach our AGM this Sunday, we are looking to fill a number of committee positions to help ensure another successful and enjoyable season for our athletes and families.

Our club is proudly run by volunteers, and we warmly encourage all Balmoral Little Athletics families to consider stepping outside their comfort zone and getting involved. Whether you can contribute a little or a lot, every role plays an important part in keeping our centre thriving.

Committee Roles to consider:

We have a number of roles for parents to consider before our AGM this Sunday

With a number of current number of committee members looking to step down. Our key roles to consider:

President
Vice President

To make things more manageable for volunteers, we are looking to restructure the previous Centre Manager role into two positions to help clearly define roles

🔺 A new President role (governance-focused)
🔺 A new, streamlined Centre Manager role (operational)

Both roles are up for nomination as part of our AGM

President role:

🔹 Providing overall leadership and governance
🔹 Representing the club at regional meetings
🔹 Liaising with sponsors and other clubs we share our grounds with
🔹 Supporting the committee at a strategic level
(See attached role description for more detail)

✅ Someone with an understanding of Little Athletics governance (or willingness to learn!)
✅ A confident communicator who can represent the club
✅ Someone passionate about keeping our club running for our kids and community

And don’t forget — our committee members receive one child’s registration reimbursed at the end of the season! 🙌🏻
