It was an honour to march in the Grand Parade of the Abbey Medieval Festival and take to the field of combat before the many visitors to Abbeystowe!

We cherished the conversations we had with the many inquisitive individuals who made their way to our encampment across the weekend.

We invite those curious about 15th century combat to reach out to us through direct messages; our militia is open to the daring, compassionate and those wishing to push themselves to reach new heights of skill in combat and craft.

Until next year may your armour gleam, doublet not split and your spirits continue to blaze bright, Huzzah!

Our dear Joel is but one of the many incredibly skilled craftspeople who arm, armour and clothe the fighters of the Sword School of Saint Michael. Though our primary focus is combat we encourage our members to dive deep into the trades of those who supported the Militia of the City of Bruges in the late 15th Century.

We were delighted to speak with and entertain so many wonderful people at the Abbey Medieval Festival and are already planning for more spectacular and informative displays for next year. Huzzah!
