🔹🔹HELP NEEDED TODAY!

We need some extra hands at Algester Little Athletics today.

🛠️ SETUP HELP – 1.30PM
Our usual setup crew are away today, so we really need some extra parent helpers to get everything ready. U13 are rostered on today but all help is appreciated.

If you can, please come down at 1.30pm and lend a hand. Even a little bit of help makes a huge difference! Without enough people to set up, we may not be able to get competition started on time.

🍭 CANTEEN HELP – U9 PARENTS
Each week, one age group is rostered to help in the canteen, and this week it’s our U9 families.

If you have an U9 athlete, please make sure someone from your family can spend some time helping in the canteen during the afternoon.

Our centre is run by volunteers and we really do rely on our families pitching in to make competition days happen.

🙏 Thank you! Many hands make light work and help us get everyone competing on time.

Andrea will be running a Sprints & Blocks training session tomorrow at 1.30pm at Algester Little Athletics.

This session will focus on starting block setup, starts, acceleration and sprint technique, and will be especially useful preparation for athletes competing at the upcoming Queensland School State Championships.

Nominations for the New Zealand Development Tour are now open! This is a fantastic opportunity for U14 and U15 athletes to travel as a team to compete in New Zealand. Algester have had many athletes represented on this tour and it is one they will never forget! Get your nominations in now! Nominations close 7th Of October!

The New Zealand Development Tour is a unique and exciting opportunity for Little Athletics Queensland athletes in the U14 and U15 age groups.

Athletes of all ability levels are encouraged to apply. This tour is designed as a development opportunity and supports growth at every stage of an athletes journey.

Registrations for the first of the Summer Series LAQ carnivals are now open!

The new season is in full swing, and the first event in the Coles Summer Carnival Series is fast approaching!

📅 Saturday 24 October I State Athletics Facility, QSAC

The Series gives U9 - U17 athletes of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy their favourite events across two smaller competition days—without the pressure of a major Championship event.

Expect a fantastic big-event atmosphere, plenty of Club pride and a day filled with fun, friendship and great competition!
