Braves are back!

Shout out to the newly formed 'all-female' Robina Braves Baseball Club team! 🙌⚾️

And what a roster! From WPBL and Emeralds star Molly Paddison, Queensland reps Hannah Elliott, Sally Knechtli, Charlotte Stokes, and Ashley Ruzika, to youth women’s state reps and rising stars. Managed by Molly, and supported by Shelley Smith managing the squad, we love what they're doing on the field.

But off it they’re connecting the girls in amazing ways. A new tradition will see each player design a personal sticker badge for their cap. Representing family, heritage, personal milestones, or causes they care about, these badges are all about building identity and starting conversation.

From World Cup player to World Cup commentary booth… almost 20 years to the day, I’m headed back to Taiwan 🇹🇼⚾️

Then: 2006, and I was playing in the second of my six World Cups with the Emeralds. It was a time when very few games were broadcast, even in the host country.

Now: In 100 days, I’ll return as part of the broadcast crew for the 2026 Women’s Baseball World Cup Group Stage. Beyond honoured to be the first former WBSC women’s player appointed to a World Cup commentary team.

Massive thanks to the legends who helped me find my voice:

🙏🏻 Andrew Reynolds & Shayne Bennett — for giving me that first crack at the 2021 Showcase. 

🙏🏻 Eric Balnar — for taking me under your wing, and being an incredible mentor and mate over the past three years at so many events. 

🙏🏻 Emma Race & Lucy Race from Making The Call — for always backing me, and every other woman trying to break through in this industry.

I can’t wait to get on the mic to call the world best ballers including seven-time world champions Japan, former medalists Venezuela and Chinese Taipei, debutants Great Britain, the always-dangerous Cuba, and a Wild Card.

Pinch me.... hope this isn't all a dream ❤️

So here are some “video game” type moments that made our jaws drop at the Women’s Nationals.

Victoria | Kira Kuwamoto�Talk about timing. In the must-win Preliminary Final against NSW, Kira was on fire, going 3-for-3 with 3 RBI to help send Victoria to its fifth straight gold medal game.

WA | Chloe Atkinson�The moment every player dreams of. In the Qualifying Final, Chloe stepped up with the game tied, bases loaded in the top of the seventh, and launched a walk-off grand slam to send WA straight to the final. Her 3-for-4 with 5 RBI was her third 3-hit game of the week.

NSW | Sayaka Mori�In the Elimination Final against Queensland, Sayaka stepped in with two outs and delivered a clutch two-RBI single to send NSW into the lead, which the never gave up.

QLD | Rio Bradley�Made a statement on the opening day against the Roos, as a one-woman highlight reel, going 3-for-4 with 3 RBI and 2 stolen bases.

SA | Jess Maslin�Had a huge performance against WA in pool play, going 3-for-5 with 4 RBI, her third 3-hit game of the week.

Roos | Maddi Patrick�One of the heroes of the Roos’ historic walk-off win against defending champs NSW, with 3 hitsa, including the go-ahead run in the final inning.
