Wow that was a long hiatus!
So much has happened since my last real post back in 2021.
I herniated my C6 at the end of 2021 but didn't realise until Feb 2022! That took a moment to get through but it didn't stop me training. With the help of my coach and my physio, I got back on track.
The beginning of 2023 I did a shoulder injury standing up in a low bar back squat. After months of rehab and injections, it came good. Then I re-injured it again in an obstacle course. I manage to compete at Boss Babes '23 coming first in my division and 3rd overall. I got a squat PB but played it safe in bench and deads. Since then I haven't been able to stand under a bar pain free so I have been training squats with a SSB to keep my strength up.
I started playing baseball in the Women's comp Div 2 2023/2024 season and took up paddle boarding early 2024 much to my shoulder's complaint. This caused severe tendonitis so I took a break from benching and paddling at the end of baseball season and finally got my arse into see a specialist next week. Hopefully I will get some answers and get back under the bar for a comp in November.
Everything else is still the same. My kids are a little older, my hubby still supports my hobbies so much so he joined baseball too :)
