Following a disappointing start (washout) in the first week's game, the U15 Livewires commenced their campaign with a resounding victory against Wilston Norths U15 Yellows. Udit and Marcus secured crucial early breakthroughs, while our spinners delivered a strong performance. Although Wilston Norths began strongly, scoring 100 runs in 16 overs, Hemang and Shivansh effectively stemmed the tide for Livewires. Hemang took 2 wickets and conceded 19 runs in 8 overs, while Shivansh claimed 1 wicket and gave away 23 runs in 8 overs. Nick, William, and Aayan applied significant pressure on Wilston Norths in the final 10 overs, restricting them to 158/9 in 40 overs. We had a moderate start in batting, with areas for improvement for our opening batsmen. The batting highlights were provided by Marcus, who scored 68 runs on 44 balls, Hemang, who scored 47 runs on 35 balls, and Udit, who scored 38 runs on 28 balls, helping the team reach 268/7 in just 33 overs. The key contributors to this resounding win were Marcus's exceptional batting display and Hemang's outstanding all-round performance.
