🏴‍☠️ SHIVER ME TIMBERS! THE HIGHEST HIGH FIVE CHALLENGE HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN! ✋

As part of the Junior Pirates Regional Roadshow, Volleyball Queensland dropped anchor at Lawrences Mahindra, Rockhampton to launch the Highest High Five Challenge.

Using the Vertec jump tester, the team at Lawrences put their vertical leap to the test, competing to see who could reach the greatest height and earn the first bragging rights of the tour.

🏆 Rockhampton has set the benchmark.

📍 Next stop: Bundaberg… the challenge is on! Can they beat Rockhampton? 👀

🏐 2026 AYVC Referee EOI NOW OPEN!

Volleyball Queensland is seeking Level 2 State accredited referees (or higher) to officiate at the 2026 Australian Youth Volleyball Championships (AYVC) in Perth, WA, from 19–25 September 2026.

Australia’s premier youth volleyball event, AYVC brings together the nation’s best emerging athletes, coaches and officials. Volleyball Queensland is aiming to send a strong team of referees to represent the state at this prestigious championship.

If you’re looking to develop your officiating, gain experience at a national-level event, and be part of an incredible week of volleyball, we’d love to hear from you.

🏐 The Regional Roadshow is underway!

Our regional development program kicked off over the weekend at SCOTS PGC College in Warwick, with athletes taking part in a two-day development camp focused on skill development, game play and learning from experienced coaches.

A huge thank you to Georgia and Josh for leading the sessions and helping deliver a fantastic experience for everyone involved 👏

🏆 2026 Queensland Beach Awards Night ✨

Queensland's beach volleyball community came together at Sandstorm on Sunday night to celebrate the 2025/26 Queensland Beach Volleyball Tour season and recognise the achievements of our athletes from the 2026 Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships.

It was a fantastic evening acknowledging outstanding performances on the sand and celebrating another successful season of beach volleyball in Queensland.

A huge thank you to Sandstorm Beach Volleyball for hosting the evening, Chez Nous Catering for keeping everyone well fed, and to everyone who joined us to celebrate.
