The 🏅has been awarded to our Senior Women’s Best and Fairest since 2018.

Kate has been involved in football for over 35 years in a variety of roles at Club, School and Representative level including Player, Coach, Team Manager, Football Director and Committee Member.

Kate played a few games for the first women’s team in the 70’s and as the game started to grow and become a viable option for Women and Girls in the early 2000’s, she has worked tirelessly to ensure that females were represented and had the same opportunities as men at the club.

Kate’s work has seen the club grow to well over 150 women playing in teams ranging from U11’s to Senior Women’s.

Kate is a true icon at 🔵⚪️

🔵⚪️ Gavin Crosisca - played his junior footy and before joining in the before being picked up by in #1987. Gavin would go on to play 246 games at the pies including the 1990 Premiership 🏆

🔵⚪️🔵⚪️ Tony Lynn 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️

Tony started his very successful junior football career at culminating in his selection in the 1985 All Australian team. Lynny then played a heap of senior footy number for in the until he was drafted to the Brisbane bears in 1988. There he played 6 games with his best game being a win over where he kicked 4 goals. Lynny succumbed to a knee injury later that year and was delisted.

Tony then joined powerhouses where he won the Norm Russell Medal in 1992 for the doggie’s bedt and fairest player and then the for his performance for South Australia in an interstate match against in 1993.
The same year, Lynny also represented a combined Northern Territory and Queensland side where he was a standout performer against Tasmania. This caught the eye of recruiters and he was taken in the 1994 mid-season draft.
At Princes Park Tony managed to play 27 games including a Qualifying final in 94 and was an unlucky “first emergency” for the 1995 Grand Final team, where Lynny participated in the warm up on the ground all for Fraser Brown to be passed fit at the eleventh hour.
In 1997 Tony moved back to Qld and rejoined for two seasons before moving to in 1999. Here he would provide a wealth of knowledge to a young and inexperienced playing group and a club that was rebuilding on and off the field.
This culminated on the ultimate success in 2002 when, paired with ex-AFL footballer Danny Craven as head coach, Lynny would retire as the first QAFL Premiership Captain and for best on ground in the GF.

Post footy career, Tony has been involved with his son Jet’s junior football at and is now head coach for the 2021 season at @ Dittmer Park
