🌿 Mermaid Collective – White Rock Ridge Track 🌿

Our May hike is LIVE 🔥

📍 White Rock Ridge Track
📅 Sunday, 17th May

⏰ Arrive & park by: 7:30am
🥾 Set off: 7:45am sharp

We’ll do a quick briefing before we head off, so please make sure you’re ready to go by 7:45 — we’ll be leaving on time

This is a moderate hike with stunning views over Brisbane— there is some rock scrambling so please wear good footwear, not runners.

✨ The details:
• Distance: ~ 6.8 klms
• Time: ~2-3 hours (plus breaks)
• Elevation: ~163 m
• Expect a solid climb towards the end 😮‍💨 but the views are WELL worth it

🥪 Plan:
We’ll take a few breaks along the way and stop for a snack (likely at the Rock) — so come prepared!

We also recommend downloading the app to stay connected with the track.

🎒 What to bring:
• Plenty of water (minimum 2–3L)
• Electrolytes
• Snacks (think trail mix, protein, choc)
• Hat + sunscreen
• Weather-appropriate gear (rain jacket if needed)
• Good footwear (trail can be uneven)
• Optional: hiking pole if you’d like support on climbs/descents

We’ll go ahead rain or shine, just come prepared with the right gear for the conditions

I used to think I needed to be super fit to go hiking…
and then I just got started.

No fancy gear.
No peak fitness level.
No clue, if I’m honest 😅

Just one small step… and then another.

Somewhere along the way I realised—
you don’t get fit before you hike…
you get fit because you hike.

Those “I’ll start when…” thoughts?
They’ll keep you sitting on the sidelines forever.

So here’s your gentle nudge, mermaid 🧜‍♀️
Borrow the shoes.
Wear the leggings.
Puff a little. Laugh a lot.
Take the slow track if you need to.

Because the magic isn’t at the end of the trail—
it’s in showing up for yourself.

And trust me…
there’s a whole group of women just like you,
waiting to walk beside you 💛
