I'm always looking for efficiencies when setting up for class each week.
Last week my job became easier with a new equipment trolley.
The gift made me wonder about the efficiency of Pilates as exercise.
By focusing on building strength and flexibility in the little muscles around our joints, and by learning to relax muscles we shouldn't be tensing, Pilates promotes muscle balance and movement efficiency across our body. See you in class

Pilates for Cyclone Stress

I hadn't realised just how much pent-up anxiety my body was holding until 1am on Saturday morning when Cyclone Alfred disappeared off the radar!!
Since then, I've felt a little jittery about prevailing winds and rain, but HUGELY relieved about the passing cyclone threat.
This week, Pilates is all about anxiety and stress relief...focusing on slow, deliberate movements, mindful breathing and releasing those tight, tight stress muscles. Hope to see you in class.
