The trapeze table is a versatile apparatus created by Joseph Pilates. The original design was used with hospital patients that were unable to move from their beds and fit over their hospital bed allowing them to exercise.

Nowdays, the base of the trap table is wide and stable (just like a bed) making it the ideal apparatus for people recovering from injury and a nice large surface for beginners to feel comfortable and safe. The springs assist in teaching many movements, some of those being spine articulation into flexion, pelvic stability and hip disassociation.

You can perform exercises lying supine or prone, seated, kneeling or standing. You feel fully supported by the bed-like base and the exercises range from beginner to advanced.

We will become good friends throughout my studio training 😀
