🏆 RQYS Youth Squad Shines at East Coast Championships! 🏆

The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron is incredibly proud of our Youth Squad sailors who represented RQYS at the East Coast Championships hosted by Woollahra Sailing Club on Sydney Harbour.

For many of our sailors, this was their first time racing on Sydney Harbour, making these results even more impressive!

ILCA 4 Results

🥇 Monte – 1st Overall
🥈 Addie – 2nd Overall & 1st Female
🏅 Seb – 4th Overall
🏅 Evie – 8th Overall
🏅 Xavier – 9th Overall

An outstanding achievement to have all RQYS ILCA 4 sailors finish inside the Top 10!

🏅 Harriet – 17th Overall
🏅 Lyla – 19th Overall

These results are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and positive attitude these sailors bring to training and competition. Most importantly, they embraced the challenge of sailing on Sydney Harbour, learned a lot, and had a fantastic time doing it.

Congratulations to all sailors, coaches, and families involved. We wish our ILCA 4 sailors the very best as they continue their preparations for the upcoming ILCA 4 World Championships in Aarhus! 🇩🇰⛵

With 13 boats entered in the inaugural event and a on-shore schedule to ensure the local community can also participate, Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron is proud to be hosting this family-friendly regatta timed for the Winter School Holiday break.
