On the weekend some of our members played in a regional AC competition at Elwood CC. The competition was played on half courts with strictly one hour games, which made it fun.

The time constraint caught me out when, trailing by one hoop, I roqueted a ball into a hoop and was in the process of placing my ball to take croquet and run the hoop, but the bell rang and game over, one down.

Besides the participants group photo, we see Robin in action, Bill on his way to winning the whole thing, Clive about to double tap and Marguerite making a nice roquet.

It rained this morning. All morning. Seven committed members played: Simon, Julie, Greg, Roger, Robin, Paul, and Clive. The rest of you are wimps (but dry ones).

Open day at the club, last week, attracted quite a few to try out the game and have afternoon tea in the clubhouse. The people in white pants are members helping out.
