Dover Square Tennis Club - South Brighton

Dover Square Tennis Club provides the opportunity to play tennis at all levels from junior to senior All ages/abilities junior or adult are catered for.

Dover Square Tennis Club is a community based club in the South Brighton Area. We are a family orientated club, offering the ability to play in Saturday morning Junior, Saturday afternoon Senior, and Social tennis all year round. Competitions range from Green Ball Juniors to Division One Seniors. The club has a dedicated Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach who provides coaching to junior teams, an all year round Hot Shots program, Hot Shots Match Play and private tuition by appointment. 🏆 GRAND FINAL RESULTS! 🏆

Huge congratulations to our Girls Div 2 and Boys Div 6 teams who competed in the Glenelg Western Winter Junior 2026 Competition Grand Finals! 🎾✨🎉

Girls Div 2: CHAMPIONS! 🎉What a spectacular final! It came down to the absolute wire on the very last singles match, with our girls taking home the win by just two games. Amazing job Madeline, Charlotte, Daisy, and Eugenie! 👏👏🥈

Boys Div 6: RUNNERS-UP! 🥈A fantastic effort to make it all the way to the Grand Final. Even though they were missing their No. 1 player on the day, the boys gave it absolutely everything they had. We am so proud of your fighting spirit! Huge congratulations to William, Jonathan, Hamish, and Hugo! 🌟💪

A massive thank you to all of our fantastic players and parents. It was a highly interrupted, rainy winter season, but everyone was so patient, understanding, and just took it all in their stride. 🌧️😊

Now, we look forward to the Summer tennis season! Let’s keep building on these fantastic improvements. See you all on the courts! ☀️🎾

It might still feel a bit wintery out on the courts, but the 2026/27 Summer Tennis Competition will be here before we know it! Planning is already well underway, and we need your help to get the ball rolling.

To help our committee organise consistent player numbers and submit team entries to the associations, we need your nominations as early as possible. Getting your details in early makes our job behind the scenes much smoother!

To all Dover Square Tennis Club Members,

Join us on Saturday 8th August at 11:00am for Coffee, Cake & a Catch up followed by the Dover Square Tennis Club AGM at 11:30am.

All members are encouraged to attend to hear about what the club has been doing and to have your say. It is important we get new ideas & feedback to improve our club!

We would like to encourage members to nominate to join our committee. The time commitment is very light, including 5-6 meetings a year & taking on an additional duty if able.

If you can’t commit to a committee role but have skills in areas such as trades or grant writing, we’d still love your help at Dover!

If you are interested in becoming involved, we would be happy to discuss options so that we can be prepared ahead of the meeting.

Hot Shots @ Dover Square TC - Term 3 - 2026

SESSIONS COMMENCE: SUNDAY 26th July 2026

Enrolment is open to children aged 4-12 years. Sessions are conducted on Sunday’s. Please enrol ASAP as places are strictly limited and based on first enrolled. Minimum numbers are required for each session.

** Red Ball Sessions are 30min duration **
** Orange Ball Sessions are 45min duration **

Program is 7 sessions for Term 3. Children will be grouped according to age/ability at the discretion of the coach. Confirmation will be sent approx. one week before first session.

Our Dover Square Tennis Club merchandise shop is now open!

We've got polos, t-shirts and caps available for both adults and juniors.

The new tops look fantastic and feature all of our amazing club sponsors. We'd love to see as many players as possible wearing the new club gear around the courts this winter and into next summer.

Orders close on 28 May, but if possible, please try to get your orders in early.

Even if you're not playing winter tennis, feel free to order now if you'd like gear for next summer, as we're not sure when the shop will open again after this round.

To all old & new GDTA players .......

The summer season has finished and the first 100 years of GDTA has come to an end.

There is a commemorative book available for pre-sale with delivery expected at the end of the month. Instructions will be sent on when and how to collect your copy.
160 pages, 200 + photographs.

Every current club is represented and there are a few others long gone which also get a mention.

DSTC Winter 2026 Nomination - Junior & Senior NOW OPEN

Please complete our Google form if you wish to "Nominate" for the upcoming 2026 Junior and/or Senior Winter Tennis Competition.

** This is a commitment to a team/club for the entire winter season **

** Nominations for Juniors and Seniors Close - 31st March 2026 **
** Juniors must be under 18 as of 2nd May 2026 **

We will do our best to place all nominations in a team, however please be aware this is not always possible due to winter teams usually being a smaller number.
An email will be sent to all nominees in due course outlining fees and payment instructions. No Payment is required at this time. You will be notified of your team when Tennis SA, GDTA/WDTA finalise teams.

If you can please nominate as soon as possible it would be most appreciated.

Key Dates Senior Competition:

** All Senior matches are 1245pm hit-up & 1pm start **
** Start of season, Saturday 9 May 2026 **
- Byes on 16 May (Doubles Only), 6 June, 11 July
- End of regular season, Saturday 22 August
- Finals two week series, commencing Saturday 29 August with Grand Finals on Saturday 5 September Tennis SA are responsible for allocation of divisions for Senior teams **

** All Junior matches are 9am start ** Players to arrive 8.45am
