Specialising in Functional Movement, Personal and Group Fitness, Strength and Conditioning and Exercise Rehabilitation. Kris Blicavs has been involved in the Sport, Recreation and Fitness industry for the last 10 years. Whilst maintaining a position as a Secondary School Physical Education Teacher since 2011, Kris has been a part of some of Australia's elite basketball programs, holding positions
within the Player Leadership Groups at both the Ballarat Miners and Geelong Supercats in the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL). What sets Kris apart from others in the industry in his own personal experience with exercise rehabilitation. During the Spring of 2013, he suffered a complex lower back injury, consisting of a herniated disc (L4/L5), a compressed disc (L5/S1) and two stress fractures in his L5 vertebrae. This injury resulted in Kris having to miss the entire 2014 SEABL season in order to rehabilitate his body. During this time, he fully dedicated himself to returning to the basketball court. He enlisted the help of Sam Waley at Rehab-a-cise and through sheer determination and perseverance, not only returned to the court, but did so in better physical condition than what he was pre-injury.
4 years on, Kris still fully commits to his rehabilitation program in order to keep his body in peak physical condition and allow him to keep playing at an elite level. These experiences, along with his attention to detail, allow Kris to relate with his clients on a much more personal level. He understands the importance of correct technique and muscle activation and how crucial functional movement is in leading a pain free lifestyle. Kris is incredibly approachable, friendly and prides himself on his ability to build positive relationships with his clients. He is motivating, encouraging and ensures that no matter what the goal is, his clients enjoy themselves while reaching it! For enquiries:
