BIAV works with members and the community, supporting 203k+ registered boat owners, 450k marine licence holders and 900k boating participants each year. BIAV operates in the best interests of its members, the industry and the community to ensure that the Victorian Government objectives of economical, social and environmental development are met within our industry and markets. The Boating Careers team continues to actively promote careers in the marine industry, representing members at two major career events.

On 26 May, Boating Careers attended the Outer Eastern LLEN Careers Expo in Scoresby, engaging with more than 2,000 attendees and showcasing the diverse range of career opportunities available across the boating sector.

Two days later, the team was at the VET Discovery Expo hosted by Hume Whittlesea Local Learning and Employment Network (HWLLEN), connecting with more than 440 students from 17 schools and introducing them to pathways into the marine industry.

These events are part of Boating Careers' ongoing commitment to raising awareness of marine careers and attracting the next generation of skilled professionals to our industry.

Ever dreamed of a career in the boating industry, or just ready for a change?

Our friends at Boating Industry Association of Victoria have developed an online boating careers hub to help you explore a career in the marine industry.

From sales, servicing, engineering and design, marine electronics or even making boating accessories, the industry has lots to offer to people with a range of different skills.

Developed closely with industry, the careers hub provides resources like information on apprenticeships, a jobs board, links to training providers and more.
