🔥🏉 BRIBIE ISLAND WARRIGALS – ROUND 9 🏉🔥
📅 19th & 20th June 2026
Another big weekend of Rugby League awaits our Warrigals family, with teams from U6s right through to U17s proudly taking the field across the Sunshine Coast.
This Round holds special significance as we honour the memory of James Ackerman, a much-loved player of the Sunshine Coast Falcons whose life was tragically lost following an on-field incident.
As a mark of respect, all teams across Round 9 will take a knee before kick-off. This simple gesture serves as a reminder of the values that make our game great — respect, mateship, courage and looking after one another.
We also acknowledge the retirement of James’ Number 8 jersey, ensuring his legacy will forever remain a part of our Rugby League community.
While we celebrate the game we all love this weekend, let’s remember that Rugby League is more than wins and losses. It’s about community, friendship, teamwork and creating memories that last a lifetime.
Play hard, play fair, support your teammates, respect your opponents and cherish every moment you get to spend on the field.
