Well… this feels weird to write.
After five ridiculously fun years, I’ve decided to take a break from Zumba… and I’ll be unpublishing this page.
What started as “let’s dance around for an hour and get a bit sweaty” somehow turned into something much bigger.
It became an hour of me-time for a lot of women.
An hour to laugh, move, be silly, forget the world for a bit and just feel good.
Over the years I’ve watched friendships form, women new to the island find their people, and so many of you walk through the door carrying big stuff - cancer battles, anxiety, parenting chaos, caring for elderly parents, loneliness, heartbreak… all the things life throws at us.
And for one hour none of that mattered.
We danced.
We laughed.
We were ridiculous together.
It has been an absolute blast.
But towards the end of 2025 I started to feel tired.
Proper tired.
Burnt out.
I wrestled with the decision to take a break because Zumba has been such a huge part of my life and identity for so long. But after two months of not coming back after the summer break, I know in my bones it was the right call.
So for now, I’m pressing pause.
Maybe forever.
Maybe not.
Who knows.
What I do know is how grateful I am for every single one of you who showed up, danced like nobody was watching, laughed at my nonsense, and helped create something really special.
Thank you for the sweat, the silliness, the hugs, the friendships, and the memories.
It has been one hell of a five-year dance party. 💜
