Food for thought😉

I’m bit over seeing crazy diet plans extremely low calorie diets and extreme training programs. And don’t get me wrong, good on people for making changes with poor nutrition choices and giving up alcohol if that’s what they want to do.

But the truth is, you can still get great results by being consistent 70–80% of the time and getting blood work so you know how your body is functioning on the inside also. It’s ok to blow out occasionally but just make sure you get back on the ban wagon. We are all human.

So many people go all in, completely deprive themselves, and then can’t sustain it long term. Health and fitness should fit into your life, not make you miserable.

Train hard, eat well most of the time, enjoy life, and stay consistent. That’s what actually gets long-term results and this is something I have always stuck to myself🤷🏻‍♂️

I was asking Misi which photo I should post and he said that one Mum, I look pretty good in that photo.😂

Then he looked at the picture, looked at me and said Matt helped me hey Mum
I smiled and said yea bro all day.

From a kid who first started training and didn’t even want to take his shirt off because he was too shy… to a young man who now stands confident in himself. That growth means everything. you played a big part in that Matt.

I will always be grateful for the time, belief and guidance you’ve given him. The confidence you’ve helped build in him goes far beyond then just sport.

Shout out to this young fella Kayliss🙌

As a coach, I saw potential and a kid willing to work to build confidence.
There were sessions where the weights felt heavy and progress looked slow.

There were lessons to learn — proper technique, recovery, and the importance of eating enough, especially protein.

What mattered most wasn’t talent.
It was consistency.
Showing up week after week. Listening. Applying feedback. Trusting the process.

Over 12 months, those habits added up.
Reps turned into strength.
Discipline turned into confidence.
The result: 10 kg of muscle gained in one year.

Not by chasing shortcuts, but by committing to the basics and doing them well.

This is what progress looks like when the work is honest and the effort is consistent.

I recently had my full blood work and a heart scan done and have been doing so for many years now. I'm grateful to say the results were good🙏 It's always a relief to get that kind of confirmation, and it reminds you how important regular checkups are.

These tests can detect early warning signs of health issues like heart disease, high cholesterol, or diabetes before they become serious problems. Staying proactive gives you more control over your health — and your future.

I’ve said it before, this kid is going places.
Not only has he made all the representative teams here in Qld but goes to NZ and does the same there too. Doesnt get any better.
