This isn’t you being “bad at diets,” and it’s not because you don’t want it badly enough.

Because you’ve probably spent the entire day trying to stay on track, making “good” choices, holding it together, and using more mental effort than you even realise.

But then the evening comes, and something shifts.

The structure drops off, your brain is more tired than you think, and that sense of control you had earlier suddenly feels like it’s gone.

You find yourself in the kitchen, picking, snacking, going back for more, even when you’re not physically hungry…
and part of you is literally watching it happen thinking,

“why am I doing this again?”

That moment feels impulsive, emotional, out of control.

But what’s actually happening is this:

By the end of the day, your dopamine is lower, your brain is mentally fatigued, and your executive function is significantly weaker.

Those who sit in their struggle- and the ones who learn how to work around and or with it.

The one who will spend each day thinking how unfair it is to be dealt the card they have vs the ones who accept it and do something about it.
