❤️ DAY FOR DANIEL | FRIDAY 30 OCTOBER ❤️
At Bracken Ridge Indoor Sports & Inflatable World, keeping kids safe is something we care deeply about. As a place where children come to play, have fun and make memories, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported and heard. ❤️
This Friday, we recognise Day for Daniel, a day dedicated to raising awareness about child safety and educating children, families and communities.
Here are some important reminders for parents and carers to help keep little ones safe:
❤️ Talk openly about safety — Encourage children to speak up if something doesn’t feel right, and remind them they can always come to you for help.
❤️ Teach them to recognise, react and report — Help children recognise when they feel unsafe, react by moving away or calling for help, and report what happened to a trusted adult.
❤️ Identify trusted adults — Make sure your child knows which safe adults they can turn to if they feel worried, lost or uncomfortable.
❤️ Teach body safety and boundaries — Remind children that their body belongs to them and that it’s okay to say no to unwanted touch.
❤️ Have a plan if you get separated — When visiting busy places, choose a meeting point and make sure your child knows which staff members or trusted adults they can approach for help.
❤️ Keep the conversation going — Child safety isn’t just a one-day conversation. Regular, age-appropriate chats help children feel confident asking questions and speaking up.
Day for Daniel reminds us that keeping kids safe is a responsibility we all share. Let’s work together to create safer environments where every child feels protected, confident and heard. ❤️
