Think getting older means slowing down?
That’s one of the biggest myths in fitness right now.
Everywhere you look, people are being told that once you hit 50, 60 or beyond, you should stop lifting heavy, avoid intensity and stick to “safe” exercise.
The problem? Doing less doesn’t help you stay capable. It does the opposite.
Strength, balance, power and fitness are exactly the things we need to keep as we age. That doesn’t mean trying to lift the same weights you did 20 years ago or ignoring aches and pains. It means training smart, scaling where needed, and continuing to challenge yourself.
Squats help you get on and off the toilet independently.
Deadlifts help you pick things up safely.
Getting your heart rate up helps you keep up with the grandkids.
Moving with intensity helps you stay ready for whatever life throws at you.
Because life doesn’t care how old you are. At some point you’ll need to move quickly, carry something heavy, get yourself off the floor, or react in an emergency.
The goal isn’t just to live longer. It’s to stay strong, capable and independent for as long as possible.
That’s exactly why we’re launching our L.I.F.E class for over 60s, starting 30th June.
