Congratulations to all the amazing umpires who officiated at the U16 National Championships in Hobart this month, and an even bigger shout out to our own Lachlan W. The future of the game at all levels is dependent on having young officials like you working hard through this pathway. We are very grateful for your contributions and proud of your achievements 🏑👏

April has been a busy month already! Junior Field State Championships kicked off in the school holidays with the U14 Boys playing in Taree. Hills Hockey had three (3) representatives in the NWSHA Boys Div 1 team – Niall D, Levi S and Hamish S. Congratulations to our Bulls players and the entire NWSHA team on an amazing tournament finishing undefeated 💪🏑, but unfortunately not progressing from the semi-final following a drawn result.

Last weekend, we had 6 x Bulls players making their debut in the Sydney Hockey SL1 division for NWS-HH, enjoying a 3-0 win against Manly-GNS.

We love to see our Juniors stepping up in the senior grades and being rewarded for their hard work. Strikers Hockey

We have a number of FREE Come Try & Learn Hockey sessions available during February. Check out our webpage - https://www.hillshockey.org.au/free-clinics.html for a list available dates and times. Hills Hockey’s home field is at the new The Gables Hockey Complex.

The Winter Season games commence mid to late March 2026 across the different competitions:

Junior teams play in the North Area Junior Competition and the Sydney Metro Competition (U14A & U16A).

Women’s teams participate in the Sydney Womens Hockey League (SWHL) and Sydney North Womens competitions.

Hills Hockey partners with Norwest HC for the Sydney Mens competition across Premier League and Sydney League under NWS-HH. Both are proudly supported by Baulkham Hills Sports Club.

Hills Hockey Juniors were recently treated to an advanced Drag-Flick technique session with NSW Pride and Norwest Strikers PL1 player, Michael Taylor at The Gables Hockey Complex.

The event was part of the Hills Hockey Junior Development and Norwest Strikers High Performance Academy initiative.

A big shout out to both Mick Taylor and Cody Tribe for taking the time to share their coaching tips and experience with our young players.
