All our coaches are Australian Fencing Federation (AFF) certified. In addition to be former elite fencing athletes of the Australian Fencing Cham

pions, they all possess abundant experience in coaching for many years. All equipment used in our Club are up-to-date and compliant with FV standard. Most importantly, unlike traditional trainings which often focus on sword- fighting techniques, we strive to deploy a cohesive and proactive integrated system approach to prioritize the physical, mental, and body awareness skills of our students. Why Fencing? There are many benefits to kids’ fencing. Children learn good sportsmanship and self-discipline. Through our comprehensive Mini-Fencing program, children can improve their stamina, concentration and motor coordination. They learn to make complex decisions, analyze problems, think and act fast. These qualities will eventually help children reach their potential in many areas other than fencing.

Australian National Championships 2026

A strong weekend for Team Tizona in Brisbane.

Ronny fought his way to the Men’s Foil final to claim Silver.

Liam Chen reached the quarter-finals before an unfortunate injury ended his campaign.

In Women’s Foil, Irina finished 6th, while Ada, Heather, and Nina all secured Top 16 finishes.

Most importantly, our athletes showed courage, resilience, and continued improvement against Australia’s best fencers. The gap is closing, and the future is bright.

Back to training, back to work, and on to the next challenge.

TIZONA INTRA-CLUB CHALLENGE
On May 17, Tizona proudly hosted our annual Intra-Club Competition, bringing together young fencers across the U8, U10 and U12 categories for a full day of competition, learning and growth.

Created to simulate a real competition environment, the event gave our athletes valuable experience in adapting to real tournament rhythm, managing pressure, and applying their training in live bouts.

The venue was filled with energy throughout the day, with athletes showing determination, courage and sportsmanship on every piste. Beyond the results, the competition reflected the spirit of the Tizona community — athletes supporting one another, families cheering from the sidelines, and coaches guiding every step of the journey.

We would like to sincerely thank all Tizona families for your continued support, our referee and coaching team for their professionalism and dedication, and LingoAce for generously sponsoring prizes for the event.

At Tizona, we believe every competition is an important part of an athlete’s development. Every time a fencer steps onto the piste, they take another step forward in confidence, experience and character.

Tizona Winter Fencing Camp is designed for fencers of different ages and experience levels who want to keep moving, improve their fundamentals, and stay connected to training during the break.

This holiday｜They grow through competition
From Xiamen to Wenzhou, our fencers stepped onto bigger stages this holiday.

Shuyu, Lena and Yennifer competed in Xiamen, gaining valuable experience in a high-level competition environment.

In Wenzhou, Ada and Sarah delivered strong performances.
Sarah fought into the Top 8, finishing 6th overall, while Ada showed outstanding form throughout the day, winning 🥇 U14 Women’s Foil Gold.

Some travelled to compete, some trained hard during the holiday program, and others are preparing for upcoming AFC events — but all are moving forward.

April 3 – 2026 Shanghai Bay Area Open (Chinese Fencing Association C-Level Event) 🤺
Ada fenced up an age group in U16 Women’s Foil, showing great composure and fighting spirit to win a silver medal 🥈

April 5 – U12 Women’s Foil (CFA C-Level)
Sarah fought hard to reach the Top 16 (12th place), while Shuyu gained valuable experience in her first C-Level competition back in China.

Proud to see our girls stepping up, challenging themselves, and growing through competition.
