The weather just cleared long enough for an 11am startโ€ฆ then rained for about 90% of the rest of the day, because of course it did.

We faced a genuine batting masterclass from the opposition โ€” brilliant learning for our group and a glimpse of where they could be in a couple of years.

Huge shoutout to Laksh, who snagged 5 wickets, and the team for bowling them out inside 30 overs, with only 23 extras on a very โ€œcharacterโ€‘buildingโ€ pitch.

What made us proudest was the resilience: the group stayed upbeat, supported each other, and batted out the innings. No heads dropped. No one gave in.

A match full of learning that sets them up beautifully for the season ahead.

False start on 3 May, but the Motherโ€™s Day reserve day came to the rescue and our juniors finally got their Round One match underway.
Took on Hawthorn Boroondaraโ€™s older U14 girls and came away with a great firstโ€‘up win.
