“Amelia is a bright shining light in our sessions on Thursday nights. She is competitive and hard-working, but most of all she loves basketball. Her love for every aspect of the game is what makes coaching her a great experience.”

Amelia’s work ethic has also been a big part of her development. She consistently puts in strong effort, embraces challenges, and is always willing to step outside her comfort zone to improve. Whether she’s learning a new skill or refining an existing one, she approaches it with focus and determination.

She’s also incredibly coachable. Amelia listens carefully, applies feedback, and continues working on the little details that help players improve over time.

That combination of passion, competitiveness, coachability, and hard work is exactly what long-term development looks like.

🚨 POTW - Izaan 🚨

“Izaan is so deserving of this award. He’s such a hard worker and that’s evident in his improvement over the last several months. He is always ready to absorb coaching feedback and even more determined to apply it.”

One thing that really stands out about Izaan is his approach to learning. He listens closely, asks questions, and genuinely wants to improve every part of his game. Whether it’s footwork, decision making, or skill ex*****on, he puts real effort into applying feedback straight away rather than just hearing it.

His consistency has also been a major factor in his growth. Izaan continues to show up with a great attitude, competes hard, and works with intent every session. He doesn’t rely on motivation or confidence to determine his effort - he stays focused on improving.

That combination of work ethic, coachability, and consistency is exactly what long-term development looks like.
